ON AUGUST 6TH, IN TIRASPOL, THE DMR PRESIDENT IGOR SMIRNOV

HAD A MEETING WITH PAVEL PETROVSKI AND PIOTR CHALY.

 

 

On August 6th, in Tiraspol, the DMR President Igor Smirnov had a meeting with Pavel Petrovski and Piotr Chaly – the heads of diplomatic missions of Russia and the Ukraine in Moldova. After finish of the meeting, Igor Smirnov and Pavel Petrovski gave an express-interview to Dniestrian journalists.

As the DMR President Igor Smirnov said, a number of problems were concerned at the meeting with the Russian Federation Ambassador in Moldova Pavel Petrovski. The main of them were the issues of economic interaction of the DMR and Russia, as well as the problem of withdrawal of the Russian armament from Dniestria. Generally, results of the Kiev meeting were poorly discussed.

Talking about economic co-operation between Russia and the DMR, the RF Ambassador in Moldova paid attention that the Dniestrian Supreme Council had recently taken decision about privatization of a number of enterprises of the republic. Pavel Petrovski considered that the Russian finances would be able to take place efficiently in their privatization. As he said, Russia expressed great interest to the Dniestrian production potentialities.  

Economic issues were also raised in the conversation between the Dniestrian President and the Ukrainian Ambassador in Moldova Piotr Chaly. Besides, Igor Smirnov and Piotr Chaly shared opinions on problems of the negotiation process and reception of education by the Dniestrian Ukrainians in the respective institutions of the Ukraine.
