MY DNIESTRIA-2002

Today, in the “Expo-center” of Dniestria, the traditional international fair-exhibition “My Dniestria-2002” was opened, devoted to the 12^th anniversary of foundation of the Dniester Moldavian Republic and 10^th anniversary of the DMR ministry of industry. The DMR ministry of industry and the Expo-center of Dniestria acted as organizers.

There take part as many as 70 enterprises of different forms of property from Dniestria, Germany, Russia, the Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova, which have presented industrial and nourishment production, furniture, electric equipment, and many other.

By approximate data, that day about 10 thousand Dniestrians and guests of the republic have visited the Expo-center. Among them there has been the president of the Dniester Moldavian Republic Igor Smirnov, the Supreme Council chairman Grigory Marakutsa, the head of Tiraspol state administration Viktor Kostyrko, and members of the Ministers’ Cabinet.

Opening the exhibition, the JSC “Expo-center” director Igor Gordon remarked that in our republic, it is necessary to created favorable conditions for development of the local producers, for propaganda of their goods, and making mutually profitable contracts with foreign companies. He expressed hope that the exhibition opened in Dniestria would be a good start for many participants to present their production in the markets of our republic and of foreign states.

By words of the DMR deputy minister of industry Yury Ganin, the Dniestrian economy considerably weakened by the custom and economic blockade, organized by Moldova, gradually exits the crisis. Nowadays, the economic growth is marked, the inner market of goods and services is being satisfied. The exhibition in the “Exhibition” is a good start for arrangement of business and friendly contacts between local and foreign producers.

Different contests among the producers of goods, services, and technologies will be organized within frames of the fair-exhibition. Among them there will be a competition for nominations “Laureate” and “The best brand of 2002 in Dniestria”.

The contest for nomination “Laureate” is held for searching and encouraging producers of the, and technologies for realization of the State program of promoting the best commodities and services to the world market. The winner will be handed a certificate giving reduces for participation in the next exhibition.

The contest “The best brand-2002” will be held for three nominations:

- for the highest quality of commodities,

- for the most popular people’s brand

- and for the best fair activity.

In accordance with conditions of the contest, opinion of the very consumers will be the main criterion of determining the winner, as well as their devotion to this or that brand. The winners will be declared on the Christmas universal fair-exhibition “The Silver Kaleidoscope”, which will take place on December 25^th-28^th 2002. (Last year, the Tiraspol Wines-and-Cognac plant “KVINT”, and the footwear enterprises “Tighina” and “Floare” were declared winners).

The exhibition in the ‘Expo-center’ will last till September 2^nd.
