"INTERDNESTRCOM":
NO LIMITS FOR PERFECNESS!"
"Techniques are on verge of
fantastic". This was the very appreciation that the Dniestrian authority,
local, and foreign specialists had given to presentation of novelties of the
company "Interdnestrcom" - the communication operator in ÑDMÀ standard, which had taken place on September
24th in the Palace of Republic in Tiraspol.
At the presentation, there were
invited the DMR Supreme Council Chairman Grigory Marakutsa, the DMR President
representative in Ukraine Boris Akulov, the minister of information and
telecommunications Vladimir Belyaev, deputies of all levels, and
representatives of communication companies from Ukraine and Moldova.
Besides
the videophone and modern mobile terminals, specialists of the company
presented new types of services: a wireless transmission of data and access to
the Internet via cellular net of the company "Interdnestrcom".
Except the above-mentioned services,
there were demonstrated capacities of the digital network ISDN. ISDN is a new
generation of wire net, giving new large possibilities to abonents: from
high-speed transmission of data and access to the Internet to holding of
videoconferences on line between participants who are far from each other by
the distance of thousands of kilometers. Due to that net, on one line you can
talk by phone, can transmit data, send and receive facsimile messages, as well
as hold videoconferences. Such a net was installed in the
"Agroprombank". The bank's specialists are content. By their words,
it saves much time. And as we know, time is money.
One more novelty of the company -
transmission of video information on line via cellular nets of the company -
made a true furor. By the way, such a séance of wireless video
connection was carried out not only in Dniestria but also in the CIS countries.
All of that became possible due to
the fact that "Interdnestrcom" was the first communication company
among the CIS and some European countries to pass to a new technology of the 3rd
generation: the standard IS-2000.
What are its advantages? For
example, each abonents, having a notebook and a cellular terminal of the
company, has a perfect opportunity to receive or send a facsimile message, to
receive data from another computer, and to enter the Internet, being situated
in any point of the cover zone. Businessmen have got a possibility to organize
their office, provided with all necessary mass media in a place suitable for
him, no matter if the telephone line is situated there or not. Specialists of
the company give firm guarantee that in case of installing cellular terminals
and connection of simple faxes and PC, abonents will be provided with
full-scale and qualitative connection. And what's more, contact telephone
numbers will not be changed even in case of moving of the office to a new
address.
Citizens of the Dniester Moldavian
Republic will be thus first in the CIS to get an opportunity to use brand-new
communication services. As a proof to that, there are words of representatives
of communication service in Ukraine, who have said with some envy, "While
big Ukraine is thinking, little Dniestria already has it and use it". Our
state, by their words, "is on the highest level of wireless communication
service". Representatives of Moldova were more reserved in their words but
they had to agree with these facts.
The same day, the visitors turned to
be the first listeners of the radio station "Inter FM" created by the
company; its frequency is 107,7 FM, that is in ultra short diapason.
And here is one more important
feature. The day of presentation nearly coincided with the 3rd
anniversary of foundation of the company "Interdnestrcom". Because of
that, its leader Serghey Ganja remarked that during such a short period of time
"Interdnestrcom" had made a real breakthrough into future on the
basis of new technologies. Concerning the history of
"Interdnestrcom", Serghey Ganja remarked that before foundation of
the company in the republic, equipment of phone station had been an outdated
communication, which negatively influenced upon quality of communication. In
1998, within frames of the Presidential program on urgent development of modern
communication devices, it was decided to found the Dniestrian communication
company with attraction of investments for reorganization of the old network
and construction of a new one. By the way, it was the first case in Dniestria
when construction of interurban and international network had been given to a
private company.
Within extremely short terms, there
were finished works on montage, testing, and examination of the first Automatic
Telephone Station for 1000 wired abonents in Tiraspol. Services on access to
the Internet were introduced. And what's the main thing, there is installed the
interstate telephone connection between living areas of Dniestria without exit
to the Automatic Interstate Telephone Station of Kishinev. Now the company
gives services of mobile and fixed cellular connection, of interurban and
international connection, local wired connection, system of service telephone
cards, Internet, and many other things. For that time, 2500 telephones of local
wired net have been put into action. Channels of international and interurban
line (with total length over 100 thousand channel-kilometers) have been built.
Such an important problem as provision of reliable connection for bodies of
power and government of the Dniester Moldavian Republic has been successfully.
For 3 years, investments to the branches of communications, including the given
presentation project, have comprised about $12 million. The number of abonents
of the company has exceeded 15 thousand.
It is also important to mention
participation of the company in resolution of social problems. On the eve of 55th
anniversary of the Great Victory (in the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 - note
of the translator), employees of "Interdnestrcom" installed
telephones to 48 veterans of war and DMR defenders who live in areas where
problems of telephonization are resolved with difficulties. Besides, over 70
telephones were installed for different categories of privileged people. By its
essence, actions of the company in domain of tariff policy were directed to
accessibility of the world-level connection for maximal number of users.
Making his speech, Serghey Ganja
marked with gratitude the permanent attention, assistance, and support from the
republican authority. Particular gratitude was expressed in address of the DMR
ex-minister of information and telecommunications Boris Akulov. By words of the
speaker, his role in foundation of the company was "hard to be
overestimated".
The Supreme Council Chairman, who
attended the presentation, remarked that Dniestria might hence be proud that in
some positions in communications' domain it was not only ahead of the CIS but
also of some European countries. Boris Akulov also highly appreciated the role
of the company in living activity of our republic. In his brief speech, he
emphasized, "The republic has proved that it's ready to accept and apply
in practice the newest achievements in science and techniques. This fact once
again confirms sureness of our state in future".
The award corresponds to deals. For
great merits for the state, Serghey Ganja was awarded with high governmental
reward: the Badge of Labor Glory.
In perspectives, the company plans
to enlarge the volume of wired telephone net in Tiraspol and of cellular net
throughout Dniestria. Within next months, construction of the republican
pathway of optic-fiber cables will be finished. The republican network of
transmitting data, television, and radio broadcasting will be organized on its
basis. One more perspective directions of the company's activity is
construction of radio broadcasting network in the ultra short diapason.
