THERE WILL BE A HOLIDAY!

On September 2^nd, the Dniester Moldavian Republic will celebrate its 12^th Anniversary. By decree of the DMR President Igor Smirnov, the commission staff for preparing and holding of holiday measures is appointed. It consists of the DMR Supreme Council deputy chairman Anatoly Kaminski, Tiraspol state city administration Victor Kostyrko, the DMR Budget Department chief Irina Molokanova, and members of the Ministers’ Cabinet. The DMR Vice-President Serghey Leontiev heads the commission. Holiday measures devoted to the Day of Republic will be held from August 31^st till September 2^nd, and promise to be brilliant and saturated.

On August 31^st, at 10 AM, in the sittings’ hall of the Supreme Council there took place the press conference of the DMR President Igor Smirnov, where Dniestrian and foreign journalists will participate. At midday, in the “Expo-Center” there will be opened the republican exhibition “My Dniestria”. Here will be presented goods of leading enterprises of our state. At the traditional fair, Dniestrians and guests of the republic will be able to acquire new qualitative industrial goods by low prices. The enterprises from far and near abroad will get a wonderful possibility of making mutually profitable contracts with Dniestrian producers.

The same day, at 3 PM, the historical-and-arts exhibition “Tiraspol – the capital of Dniestria” will be opened in Tiraspol united museum.

On September 1^st, at 8 AM, in the Christmas Cathedral, Yustinian, the Bishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary, will serve a Divine Liturgy. After the Liturgy, a Cross-March with Don Notre Dame Icon – the protector of the Black Sea Cossacks’ Army will be held.

At 10 AM, in the small hall of the Palace of Republic, there will be solemn presentation of Dniestrian issues and other published production.

At 2 PM, in the grand hall of the Palace of Republic, there will be solemn sitting and a solemn concert, devoted to the 12^th Anniversary of foundation of the Dniester Moldavian Republic.

The Day of Republic – September 2^nd – will start with a ceremony of laying flowers to tombs of defenders, which will take place on the Memorial of Glory of the Dniestrian capital.

At 10 AM, in the Suvorov Square, there will be parade of the DMR military formations. In an hour, in the 25^th October, there will be organized musical and fair measures for Tiraspol citizens and guests of the capital. Here, at 5 PM, sporting measures will start.

At 2 PM, at the Republican stadium, foreign artists will have performance for Dniestrians: the vocal band “Verasy” from Belorussia and the trio “Marenich” from the Ukraine.

At 9 PM, in the Suvorov Square, a holiday salute will be given in occasion of celebrating the 12^th of the Dniester Moldavian Republic.

Holiday measures will be held also in all living areas of Dniestria.
