FORMATION of the TRANSDNIESTRIAN MOLDAVIAN REPUBLIC

From a deep antiquity geopolitically Transdniestria carried out boundary functions, was a place of distribution of various ethnic groups, languages and cultures. But during all history the left bank territory of Dniester never was not only part of Romania (behind exception 2,5 years of fascist occupation), but also did not enter into structure Moldavian principalities, which east limits were limited to the Dniester river. The proof it is served the original documents and maps kept up tothis days.

The end II of century A.D. - conquest and association by Gotha-ethnicpeoples of Northern the part of Black Sea and formation two state formations of the different people-groups by the border between which was the Dniester river.
375 - invasion of Goons and rout German barbarous having held In Northern the part of Black Sea.
VI century - beginning of development of these territories by slavic tribes.
The middle X of century - Pridnestrovye was included in structure of Kiev Rus.
From XIII till up to XIV of century - these grounds have appeared included in structure Gold Horde.
60 years XIV of century - clearing of grounds the left bank of the r. Dniester and inclusion them in structure of a Great Lithuanian principality.
80 years XIV of century - formation of the Moldavian principality on the territory from east Carpathians up to the r. Dniester, which becomes a border between Lithuanian-Russian state and Moldavian principality.
Middle XV of century - capture Crimean's tatars of grounds from a r. Dniester up to Bough river and destruction of the slavs which have transformed territory into the Tatar desert.
In 1569 - after association of Poland and Lithuania, the left bank of Pridnestrovyehas come in structure of Rech-Pospolitaia.
In 1793 - at second section of Poland this territory has departed toRussia, and two years earlier to the Russian empire was joined Southern grounds between the Dniester and Bugh rivers.
The end XVIII of century - a beginning XIX of century - active resettlement from provincesinternal Russia, Ukraine, Moldova of the representatives of different nationalities and formation of two districts entering into structure of the Russian provinces -Kherson and Podolsk.
After 1917 - during civil war, the right bank territory of Dniester up to a Proute riverwas engaged in the Romanian kingdom, and r. Dniester has turnedin a temporary boundary line between USSR and Romania.
In 1924 - Pridnestrovye the left bank of r. Dniester receives a state-hood as the Moldavian ASSR in structure of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1940 - connection of Bessaraby with USSR, creation of the Moldavian SSR, where the part of areas of the ex-MASSR, Moldavian SSR, as has come also the state in structure USSR, existed 50 years, till June, 1990, When the parliament of Moldova has announced about self-liquidation of the Moldavian state
2.09.1990 - Was proclaimed the Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic as the new state on the left bank territory of r. Dniester .
